Role Description

The New Jersey City University is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic adjunct professor to teach courses in the Computer Science department. This is a contract, on-site role for an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at NJCU. The role involves developing and delivering curriculum, teaching courses at undergraduate level and actively engaging with students in a classroom setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate classroom discussions.
  2. Develop and implement course materials and assessments.
  3. Provide timely feedback and support to students.
  4. Participate in any mandatory departmental meetings and optionally collaborate with faculty.
  5. Maintain office hours to assist students with coursework.



Qualifications

  • Experience in curriculum development and teaching undergraduate courses.
  • Knowledge of cutting-edge concepts like AI, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity and so on.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
  • Relevant industry certifications are a plus but not necessary.
