Position Overview:
New London Local Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th Grade Math Teacher to join our exceptional team of educators. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching mathematics, committed to student success, and skilled in creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that meet state standards and cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Utilize various teaching methods and instructional materials to accommodate different learning needs and ensure student understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student growth and address any academic or behavioral concerns.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum developments.
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Uphold the district's policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio teaching license with one of the following certifications: PreK-3 with a 4/5 endorsement, K-8, or 4-9.
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proven experience in teaching mathematics at the elementary or middle school level is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a nurturing and academically challenging environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to continuously improve instructional practices.
- Ability to integrate technology into the classroom to enhance student learning.
