About New Mexico Military Institute:NMMI is a state-supported, co-educational college preparatory high school and junior college, complete with Junior and Senior ROTC programs. With a Corps of Cadets numbering up to 1000 young men and women, NMMI provides an accredited college preparatory curriculum on the high school level.
Position Under the direction of the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, the Golf Shop Clerk will supervise the pro shop and assist and direct the daily operation of the pro shop. Will oversee and or collect fees, clean the pro shop and locker room facilities, assist in golf cart upkeep, pick the driving range, and any other duties required in efficiently running the golf course operation. This is a 12-month, full-time, non-exempt position. The salary is $31,200.00 ($15.00 per hour). The job description is available upon request.
Tasks:
· Greet customers and collect green and rental fees; promote tournaments, special events, fundraisers, etc., related to the NMMI Golf Course.
· Answer phones and relay inquired information; make reservations for tee times.
· Coordinate, oversee, and direct operational, procedural, and customer service activities associated with the operation of a golf pro shop.
· Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
· Knowledge of all fees and golf course policies.
· Knowledge of the golf course’s operational procedures and techniques.
· Knowledge of public relations and recreational programs promoting golf.
· Knowledge of the golf course security procedures.
· Knowledge of proper customer service techniques in presenting services to the paying public.
· Knowledge of the game of golf and the ability to discuss the subtle nuances of the game with clientele.
Qualifications:
Required:
· High school diploma or GED certificate.
Preferred:
· Three (3) years of experience in the standard duties as outlined.
· Completing a post-secondary degree or certificate may substitute for years of experience.
