Job Description
New World International is a real estate development company that operates within the San Gabriel Valley. Our investment portfolio includes shopping plazas/centers, medical offices, retail strip malls, and more. New World International’s team has achieved success in recent development projects in the cities of Arcadia and Temple City with their mixed-use projects and are looking to hire more staff as we aim to expand to larger projects within our cities of interest (Arcadia, Temple City, Walnut, etc).
New World International is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Project Manager with ideally 1-3 years of experience in the real estate, design, and construction industry to aid our Project Manager and learn with hands-on experience. Our project team comprises architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and a plethora of other professionals for you to have exposure to and learn the intricacies of real estate development.
Experience and Education
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, or Business Management. NWI is open to welcoming you for any other degrees if you are enthusiastic to learn the job from the ground up and are willing to learn through first-hand experience.
Ideally, 1-3 years of project management experience is preferred but we are flexible.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the project from acquisition through to a successful completion
- Promote the highest level of professionalism and ethics with our network of project professionals
- Meet with clients, city officials, architects, engineers, contracts, and consultants to ensure everyone is kept up to date regarding the project
- Organize meeting minutes in a timely manner and document them to have all information handy and accessible
- Review and approve consultant proposals whenever necessary
- Make timely payments for invoices from our consultants and designers, ensuring that each payment is recorded and documented properly
- Manage the design, engineering, and construction team in conceptual design through to construction

- Display strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be proactive with a positive attitude, constantly thinking ahead to think of problems before they arise
- Be Flexible and organized, capable of wearing different hats to handle several projects simultaneously
- Demonstrate a friendly personality to create long-lasting friendships/relationships with our project network and City officials
- Maintain professionalism, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
New World International operates out of the city of Diamond Bar and our team travels back and forth between Diamond Bar and Arcadia on a daily basis. We welcome any motivated candidate who is looking for a large hands-on role in a small organization where you’ll be able to learn on the job!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
