What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Manager position at NEWCOMB CONSTRUCTION?
Newcomb Construction is a local Post-Frame construction company looking to add a Shop Manager to our team. Currently have a part-time Shop Hand working that will be here to assist you with training and tasks, Monday-Wednesday.
This job will require you to be here each morning at 6:30am when crews start, to assist with any equipment/material transporting or handling. Once crews are gone for the day, your other primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- Building laminated poles for buildings.
- Pulling and banding job materials.
- Loading and unloading of materials.
- Keeping up to date count on current inventory and helping ensure it stays stocked.
- Maintenance, cleaning and general upkeep of company equipment and tools.
- Maintain a safe, clean and productive work environment.
- Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
- Ability to work and stay busy, unsupervised.
- Forklift experience not required, can be trained.
- CDL is a plus and may include an increase in hourly rate. But is not required for employment.
- A general understanding of basic construction tools and materials will be necessary to effectively and efficiently complete your tasks and responsibilities.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
