Position Summary

In this role, you will be the primary/lead Program Manager responsible for NextNav’s end-to-end PNT Solution development and deployment. This involves the integration of NextNav’s 5G network architecture, 5G network components and 5G UE components through the stages of development, deployment, component testing and system testing/validation. In this role you will utilize Program Management skills (scheduling, prioritizing, driving resource planning, structuring team execution, managing partner execution aligned with internal needs, etc.) as well as System Engineering skills (driving technical planning, ensuring technical coordination internally and with partners, spearheading the tactical execution of network deployment, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Drive/Manage/Facilitate/Coordinate internal teams and key external partners to fulfill the hardware, software, and system integration requirements of the PNT solution. This includes clear articulation of technical requirements to contributing team members; ensuring clear project/task definition, fostering contributor ownership, driving successful implementations; and defining/maintaining schedules.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Systems Engineering, the 5G architecture team, Engineering Development, and Operations to fulfill PNT Solution goals by executing against the program milestones, identifying and resolving issues, and where necessary owning/spearheading technical problem resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering Management and Partner Management to ensure the Program’s product or service delivery obligations are aligned with, or feed into, product roadmaps and overall PNT Solution strategy.
  • Build credible and trusted relationships within the company, with key partners, and with other stakeholders within the 5G ecosystem to ensure understanding, adoption and application of the NextNav solution.
  • Manage and facilitate the development and integration processes through the use of shared planning, collaboration, and execution tools (MS Office tools, Jira, Confluence, etc.)

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 10 years’ experience performing Technical Project/Program Management with emphasis on large/complex End-to-End wireless/cellular systems and software.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing complex programs in the wireless/cellular space meeting the schedule, budget and requirements obligations of the program.
  • Experienced with system-level thinking and problem solving on complex systems so as to direct external and internal participants in technical problem resolution.
  • Able to communicate and articulate complex ideas/issues simply to executive-level individuals (internal, partners, industry stakeholders.)
  • Proficient in managing customer and internal teams through virtual, common, web-based sharing/collaboration/scheduling tools (without being present in-person.)
  • Proven track record of ownership, accountability, and sound decision making.
  • Collaborative team player that can get along with others at all responsibility levels.
  • Can function in a fast-paced, diverse, startup environment, often at odd hours.
  • Attention to detail and quality and exhibits a pride of ownership in work outputs.

Work Environment

  • The primary work location must be the USA, with a strong preference being Santa Clara, CA. The Washington DC area is also a possibility.
  • Must work/communicate during typical work hours in North America, Europe and India time zones.
  • Some travel for in-person customer meetings will be required (both domestic and international.)
