NFI Vermont is a private, non-profit specialized services agency that is dedicated to providing high quality services to clients and families across the Vermont statewide mental health system. We are currently seeking an accounts receivable coordinator to support our business and finance team in South Burlington.
Primary responsibilities will include billing funding sources including local government agencies, third party commercial insurers, self-pay clients, and/or Medicaid; monitoring aged receivable reports; posting and uploading cash bank deposits into EHR; and month-end reconciliation.
Billing experience should include maintaining billing software and clearinghouse, appealing denied claims; familiarity with collecting payments from third party commercial insurers; understanding of electronic billing processes, contacting patients by phone, correcting & resubmitting claims to third-party payers.
The successful candidate for this position will be highly organized, self-motivated, detail oriented and possess good follow-up skills. Candidate should have the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and email management; be able to working remotely with colleagues to problem-solve and identify solutions; and be able to maintain high standards of work while meeting tight deadlines.
Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically Excel, required. Netsmart Finance NX experience highly desired. Solid written and verbal communication skills necessary. Ability to work in a team environment. Two years related accounting/accounts receivables experience and/or training. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Salary range: $45,000 - $50,000
