What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Cabinet Design Technician position at NKBA?
This is a non-supervisory blended position that focuses on the coordination and administration of the custom cabinet requests. The primary responsibilities include reviewing for approval, creating the quote, drawing the custom design, and finalizing the bill of materials required to support production. Additional duties include communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Such as third-party dealers, sales representatives, and MasterBrand Customer Service. This position works closely with plant staff, product engineering, and customer service to best serve our customers. Position will be considered Remote, with ability to travel. Organizational Relationship: This position reports to the Product Engineering Manager Accountabilities: Support and promote the Four Basics: Complete on Time Delivery; Safe and Clean Workplace; Quality at or Above Expectations; and Providing Fashionable Products at Fair Prices. Create, modify, or edit product drawings to support the custom request program. Provide custom product quotations Custom product approval/rejection and alternative design suggestions for rejections Create, modify, or edit BOM to support the custom request program. Support Product Engineering department with the implementation of product standardization and best practice opportunities. Tactfully answers to both internal and external stakeholders Interact with a variety of stakeholders to achieve shared objectives. Always represent Masterbrand Cabinets in a professional and courteous manner. Perform other duties as may be assigned at management’s discretion Characteristics & Attributes: Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk products is required Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Configuration experience and knowledge of configuration software (Friedman) Ability to calculate custom pricing and understand of pricing logic Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. Highly organized with a strong attention to detail. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and company while fostering teamwork. Ability to be self-starting and self-directing with limited supervision. Strong initiative and drive to resolve problems Skilled at anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders. Education & Experience: 2 years of industry experience is required Familiarity with cabinet construction and manufacturing processes
