This Coastal Management Field Representative is responsible for duties that are primarily those associated with administration of Permit requirements of the Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA) and the Dredge and Fill law in the area served by the Morehead City (Central) District office. Approximately two-thirds of this work is outside and physical in nature. This position is based in the Wilmington Regional Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for CAMA Regulatory Permitting and Enforcement work for development projects
- Conducting on-site reviews of permit applications.
- Providing information on projects that usually require coordination with other divisions and state agencies for permit approval.
- Applicants should have good verbal and written communication skills.

Recruitment Range: $49,158 - $59,177

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
To qualify for this position, applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge of coastal environmental resources.
- Experience in resource management and/or environmental regulations.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Graduation from a four-year degree program in business administration, public administration, or related area and five years of experience in the administration of a public or private program, three of which must have been supervisory in nature; or, an equivalent combination of training and experience. . .
