Title: Day Porter
Reports To: Director of Facilities

Qualifications:
- minimum 3 years custodial experience
- Physical strength and stamina
- Custodians need to be able to lift, move, bend, climb, and carry heavy loads. They also need to be able to stand and walk for long periods.
- Cleaning knowledge
- Custodians need to know how to use cleaning products and tools, such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions. They also need to be familiar with safety rules for handling and mixing cleaning chemicals.
- Attention to detail
- Custodians need to be diligent and have a keen eye for detail.
- Communication skills
- Custodians need to be able to communicate verbally and have good interpersonal skills.
- Maintenance skills
- Custodians need to be able to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
- Safety awareness
- Custodians need to be aware of safety hazards and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling biohazard materials or commercial cleaning products.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- lift 50lbs
- remove indoor/outdoor trash
- set up/tear down events/cafeteria
- strip and wax floors
- use a gas powered scrubber
- be comfortable working on a 6ft ladder
- use pressure washer
- drive cart and pick up truck
Other Information:
- This is a 12 month, full time (40 hours per week) hourly contract position.
