Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant for the AVP of CMSE assists the AVP of CMSE in the daily management of responsibilities. This position is expected to live in accordance with a Christian code of conduct and take a Christian discipleship orientated approach to all that they do in this position. This position is directly responsible for assisting the AVP of CMSE in daily scheduling, communication management, team management, and financial accounting, especially in matters related to chapel. This position also manages individual, short-term projects assigned by the AVP of Campus Ministries and Student Engagement. This position is a 12-month, part-time position that reports directly to the AVP of Student Ministries .
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and administer the in-person and online chapel courses under the guidance of the AVP for Student Ministries.
- Develop and grade assignments, track attendance, and submit grades for chapel to registrar.
- Provide feedback and regular communication to students enrolled in chapel courses.
- Communicate with chapel speakers and guest bands to secure financial documents and chapel visuals.
- Maintain chapel attendance equipment.
- Attend chapel to engage with students and monitor compliance with chapel policy.
- Assist in the financial accounting for the CMSE department.
- Support the CMSE Administrative Assistant/Office Manager in CMSE departmental initiatives.
- Complete individual, short-term projects assigned by either the AVP of CMSE or the CMSE Administrative Assistant/Office Manager.

- Driving: Safely retrieve chapel speakers to and from airport and/or hotel.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
This position is a part-time position in Campus Ministries and Student Engagement and reports directly to the AVP of Student Ministries. This position works closely with the Office Administrator for CMSE.
WORK SCHEDULE
The Office of Campus Ministries and Student Engagement is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Summer hours may vary. Office hours are subject to change as deemed necessary. Occasional work on Saturdays and evenings may be required. The nature of this position requires on-campus presence Monday-Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Thursday 9:00 a.m.to 2:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday. This position includes 4 weeks off without pay per year.
TRAVEL
Some travel may be required; however, all travel will be within regional proximity to the NGU Tigerville campus.

Qualifications

- Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years prior applicable experience preferred.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and problem solve with frequent interruptions.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365; experience with database use preferred.
- Competent to maintain detailed, precise records and documentation.
- Understand and comply with HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
- Integrates Biblical standards within all assigned responsibilities and approaches student engagement from a Christian, ministerial approach.
- Ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to think creatively, improve current processes, and develop new initiatives.
- Desires to live beyond the job description to better the NGU community through Christian service and discipleship.
