BASIC FUNCTION: The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the Operations Team and managing the daily operations of NIACC’s Continuing Education programs, ensuring an exceptional customer service experience.


START DATE:
Anticipated January-February 2025

SALARY AND BENEFITS: Starting salary of $54,000 to $66,200 based on qualifications and experience. Benefits package includes Blue Cross/Blue Shield major medical health insurance; eye care, dental, life and disability insurance; paid vacation and sick leave; a choice of IPERS or TIAA retirement plans, and a variety of additional optional benefits.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree plus knowledge of college software systems, data analysis, financial management, and staff supervision.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree and experience in marketing, program development, and sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Lead the operations team to ensure efficient and effective daily operations.
  • Champion customer service excellence within the Continuing Education division.
  • Oversee routine courses, such as Driver Improvement and Children in the Middle, including instructor scheduling, technology setup, and logistical coordination.
  • Manage registrations using the college’s data management software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Generate reports and insights for leadership, programming, promotions, and other college divisions.
  • Co-lead the Noncredit and Credit Alignment Data Affinity group, reporting data to ESG, ACCT, and other relevant groups.
  • Oversee financial management, including budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Assist the Promotions Manager in the production, distribution, and tracking of Continuing Education promotions.
  • Manage employee data files and collaborate with Human Resources and Business Office personnel on related responsibilities.
  • Make decisions regarding course/event operations, including cancellations and participant notifications.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all student and course files throughout the registration process.
  • Coordinate the timely submission of MIS records to the Department of Education.
  • Train Continuing Education staff on operational processes and procedures.
  • Implement and support the LERN operating model for Continuing Education.
Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.
