Northeast MN Office of Job Training Overview

The Northeast Minnesota Office of Job Training (NEMOJT) is a partner in the CareerForce system in the 7-county Northeast (Arrowhead) region of Minnesota and administers state and federal employment and training programs. Programs administered by NEMOJT include the Minnesota Youth Program, employment and training services for the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP), Minnesota Dislocated Worker Program, and federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services for dislocated workers, low-income adults, and at-risk youth. We work within our communities to serve individuals and e...mployers, by creating connections to employment opportunities, providing postsecondary education funding, and empowering individuals to become economically self-sufficient. We do this through innovative programming, high-quality case management, client outreach, job search assistance, resume development, and resources and referrals. The CareerForce system is a unified, cohesive network of private, public, and nonprofit partners throughout Minnesota committed to providing career development and support to individuals and employers to foster economic growth. NEMOJT is a partner in this system and the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) provides oversight and regulatory management o NEMOJT serves job seekers, including dislocated workers, people wishing to enter or re-enter the workforce, youth, and adults interested in training and education. Services include career planning and exploration, personalized job search strategies, funding for postsecondary education, and financial resources to support job search activities. NEMOJT is located in CareerForce locations in Duluth, Grand Rapids, International Falls, Hibbing, Virginia, Cloquet, and Aitkin. NEMOJT staff also provide services on-site at local community and technical colleges as well as in K12 school districts throughout the region and are available to travel to any site where career guidance is needed.
