Maintenance Job Description Items or Maintenance/Handy Man/Janitor

Salary Dependent on Experience/Qualifications

General Requirements

• Have a valid MN driver’s license and pass a background check
• Follow agency confidentiality and privacy policies
• Respectfully communicate and interact with clients and staff
• Understanding of HVAC heating and cooling systems
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs on a regular basis
• Experience in both residential and commercial property maintenance
• Able to take maintenance requests from multiple individuals
• Ability to prioritize job duties
• Wear appropriate clothing for the work being done (such as safety glasses, gloves, appropriate footwear, etc.)
• Typical work hours are M-F 8am to 4:30pm with on call as needed

Examples of Job Duties

• Timely communicate maintenance concerns with supervisors and leadership
• Able to work on ladders
• Move furniture when needed
• Appliance repairs
• Maintain heating and cooling systems (such as change filters, grease bearings, etc.)
• Make basic plumbing and electrical repairs (replace garbage disposal, repair minor leaks, clear clogged toilets, replace light bulbs, replace stove burner coils, replace outlets, switches, and light fixtures, etc.)·
• Repair flooring and walls when damaged
• Shovel and salt walk ways at multiple locations
• Snow plowing at various locations with use of company truck
• Work with vendors to coordinate and oversee projects when needed
• Participate in future project/maintenance planning with leadership
• Other duties as needed (i.e. drive clients on occasion, janitorial needs such as mop floors or clean up messes)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

• Maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
