Summary
NWBS is looking for a Drafting Technician to join our design department. Under the direction of the Drafting Manager, this position is responsible for generating a complete and accurate file and prints based on written specifications for submittal to customers, state agencies, and production. The ideal candidate for this position will have some education in Revit, strong experience with AutoCAD, have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, and is familiar with the construction industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Drafting Technician shall be responsible for the following:
· Models/Drafts project drawings (ie. Foundation, floor framing, roof framing, etc.) which includes:
- Working drawings for customer sign-off, state, and production
- Miscellaneous details and drawings
- Updating structural standards
- Sales bid drawings
· Presents questions to Sales and/or research as needed for clarification on projects.
· Submits complete and accurate plans to the Plan Checker/Supervisor for review.
· Addresses and incorporates red-lines from plan review accurately.
· Submits prints for customer and state to the Project Coordinator.
· Revises prints per customer red-lines, clouding modifications as needed.
· Processes complete and accurate prints including all necessary corrections for final release.
· Saves CAD file of completed project (final release).
· Addresses questions raised by Sales, Purchasing, and Production as needed.
· Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
· At least 3-5 years of experience (modular preferred)
· Proficient in Microsoft Suite and computer system
· Can meet our daily schedule and possible overtime when necessary.
· Understand and adhere to company core values.
· Self-motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability to work on challenging, fast paced projects in a team environment.
· Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and oral communication skills
· Good organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
