Location: Dana Point, CA
Niguel Shores, one of south Orange County’s premier locations offers its residents an ideal location with stunning views, expansive grounds and top-notch amenities. Niguel Shores Community Association is made up of single family, town homes and villas within this private gated community next to the Pacific Ocean. Amenities include a multipurpose clubhouse, heated pool/spa, tennis courts, play areas, beach bluff and private beach access.
Position Summary
Performs assigned duties and projects to ensure the proper repair and maintenance of the Associations physical assets, including but not limited to maintenance of pool and spa, streets, office, clubhouse, gate house, lighting and electrical, painting, construction, masonry, community benches, vehicle and pedestrian gates, A/V and surveillance equipment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions of the Position)

1. General maintenance and repair of common area items (e.g. fences, gates, walkways, painting lighting, mailbox posts, playground equipment, tennis courts, community center, etc.)
2. General maintenance and upkeep of pool and spa (e.g. sweeping, vacuuming, chemical testing, filter cleaning, etc.)
3. Maintenance of pool and spa equipment (e.g. motors, pumps, filters, chemical pumps, and general pool infrastructure).
4. General maintenance and service of common areas (e.g. trash removal, toiletry, kitchen restocking, waste disposal, etc.)
5. Empty trash as needed throughout community (mostly weekends)
6. Set up and cleanup of Association sponsored, and private party events held at the Clubhouse and beach bluff facilities.
7. Respond to resident requests as directed by Facilities Manager.
8. Interface with management, administrative staff, contracted employees, and residents for problem resolution, including matters that occur after hours.
9. Participation in rotating after hours “Emergency” On Call Schedule.
Experience/Education/Skills
- Valid CA driver’s license and automobile insurance required.
- General maintenance knowledge required (e.g. plumbing, construction, painting and electrical)
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills required.
- Microsoft office suite experience plus.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Problem solving
- Positive attitude
Hours – These are the current hours which may change based on Business needs. Rate - $22.00 per hour.
