Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Repair
- Manage daily operations of the maintenance department, including scheduling, task delegation, and performance oversight.
- Ensure timely maintenance and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other critical systems.
- Perform routine inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including life safety codes and OSHA standards.
- Ensure the facility adheres to fire safety and disaster preparedness protocols, including managing drills and inspections.
- Oversee maintenance and testing of emergency equipment, such as generators, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems.
- Supervise and train the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Develop and manage the department’s budget, tracking expenses and planning for future capital projects.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects, ensuring quality work and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with other departments to address facility needs, including room readiness, dining area repairs, and activity space setups.
- Monitor and maintain an inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment necessary for maintenance operations.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, including being on-call as needed.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations, including life safety codes and OSHA standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
