Our progressive Engineering Team at our office in Austin, TX seeks a talented Electrical Designer (K12/Healthcare Building Design). We want someone with a desire to exceed expectations and a commitment to ensuring the built environment matches the design intent. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT AT O'CONNELL ROBERTSON .
The Electrical Designer (K12/Healthcare Building Design) will be responsible for working with engineering team members and coordinating consultant responsibilities of studies, design, or construction documents of various scale projects.
- Work in a team environment
- Work collaboratively with our firms integrated engineers, architects and interior designers in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston
- Perform site surveys and coordinate with the electric utility for assessment of renovation or new construction needs
- Design building electrical systems including power distribution and lighting design, along with familiarity of fire alarm and low voltage systems
- Coordinate construction documents for small to medium-sized projects
- Review Construction Administration related items and perform site observations during construction
- Understand codes, standards, and guidelines related to the practice of building design
- Become familiar with software for performing electrical loads, short circuit analysis, and lighting calculations
WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT O'CONNELL ROBERTSON
Were looking for passionate, driven self-starters. Beyond that, youll need
- EIT preferred
- Revit experience required
- 3 years of experience
- A bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Architectural Engineering or equivalent is preferred
