YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:
Designer II is a mid-level designer responsible for creating marked drawings, model development, and other documents showing equipment and device layouts and branch circuiting for power, lighting, and auxiliary drawings. In addition, this position provides calculations and documentation for the design of lighting and power systems, as well as details as required to define and clarify the intent of the design on drawings. This position requires moderate dotted-line supervision by a Designer III, an Engineer, the Engineer of Record, the Engineering Team Lead, or the Director of Engineering.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Assemble a complete symbols list and common project notes from the REI Standard relevant to the project.
Mark up branch circuit lighting and power plans and fill in panel board schedules with moderate
Perform Energy Code calculations, documentation, and local jurisdiction energy requirements with little supervision.
Apply and perform Rosendin standards for wire sizing, transformer feeders, and protection from published schedules.
Calculate power loads, size feeders, and determine the estimated demand load summary for a distribution system under the direction of a Sr. Designer or an Engineer.
Direct and coordinate signal and low voltage subcontractors with other trades, such as architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, vertical transportation, kitchen equipment, and OFCI systems.
Create details as required to define installation for construction.
Provide the design lead function for small jobs.
Ability to review manufacturer submittals for electrical characteristics.
Layout Electrical Room, including clearances, with minimal oversight.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Strong Revit experience and working on electrical design projects for large commercial construction projects.
WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
Some college or technical training in engineering or related discipline
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Designer
Can be a combination of educations, training, and relevant experience
TRAVEL:
Up to 15% (Does not include local field visits)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
