What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Hygienist position at Occupational Services, Inc.?
Occupational Services, Inc. (OSI) is actively seeking a full-time Industrial Hygienist in the San Diego Area. The ideal candidate will have work experience in Industrial Hygiene and at least a B.S. in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, or Occupational Safety & Health. Graduate degrees are a plus. All experience and education levels will be considered. Certifications such as CSP and CIH are a plus. Pay will be commensurate with education, experience, and value to the company. This position could range from entry-level consultant to Senior Manager. We're looking for someone that's a good fit for our team regardless of experience level. We have very low employee turnover as our company is known as a great place to work.
Excellent writing and communication skills and attention to detail are mandatory. The applicant must be able to work independently in a productive small business environment. Preferably, the applicant will have a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations and have good relationship building skills. The chosen applicant will work with OSI's Certified Industrial Hygienists.
Position Description:
The successful candidate will provide services in the following areas:
- Perform industrial hygiene exposure monitoring
- Conduct qualitative risk assessments
- Perform ergonomic assessments
- Manage EHS at client facilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs
- Deliver safety training presentations
- Perform site EHS audits
- Prepare regulatory permits
- Act as a liaison during City, County and State regulatory inspections
- Arrange for the proper disposal of hazardous and biohazardous waste
- Other EHS services as requested
Salary : $80,000 - $130,000
