As the Vice President of Product Delivery, you will take full ownership of the worldwide delivery and operational execution for our software, hardware, and integrated solutions products. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will lead a cross-functional team of product managers, technical product owners, and operational leaders to drive a product-led culture. Your mission will be to oversee the entire product lifecycle—from concept to market launch—while ensuring technical excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with broader commercial and corporate strategies.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader with extensive experience in product management, engineering, and large-scale solution delivery. You will be instrumental in setting strategic direction, managing product roadmaps, and ensuring that all product-related activities are executed with precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Product Leadership
- Technical Vision & Product Execution: Drive the technical strategy and operational excellence for all product-related activities. Ensure product roadmaps and development processes are grounded in technical feasibility, innovation, and alignment with company-wide objectives.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial concept and design through development, testing, and final market release. Collaborate closely with product development, engineering, and quality assurance teams to deliver highly differentiated, scalable solutions.
- Execution Excellence: Lead the continuous refinement of product development methodologies, driving Agile practices, rigorous testing standards, and iterative delivery processes to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and mentor a global team of product managers, technical owners, and operational staff. Collaborate seamlessly with R&D, engineering, design, sales, and customer-facing teams to execute the product vision.
Operational Management
- Product Delivery & Execution: Establish governance structures to track and monitor the performance of the product pipeline. Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and customer expectations.
- Resource Allocation & Budgeting: Own P&L responsibility for product delivery, including resource planning, budgeting, and the efficient allocation of financial and human capital. Make data-driven decisions to balance competing priorities and manage risk.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for process optimization across product development, testing, and operational execution, leveraging data and metrics to inform decision-making.
Leadership & Culture
- Team Building & Talent Development: Develop and nurture high-performance teams, identifying and grooming future leaders. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across geographically diverse teams.
- Executive Collaboration: Regularly interact with the executive leadership team, providing technical insight and influencing strategic decisions. Represent the organization at industry events and in partnerships with external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners.
- Mentorship & Coaching: Provide technical guidance and leadership to your teams, offering coaching in product management best practices, market trends, and advanced technology areas.
Strategic Partnerships & Customer Engagement
- Customer Advocacy: Work closely with sales, solutions architects, and field teams to understand customer needs, evangelize product solutions, and drive successful deployments in enterprise environments.
- ODM/JDM Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) and Joint Design Manufacturers (JDMs), as well as with partners in complex, multi-platform environments (e.g., Microsoft, IBM).
Risk Management & Market Insight
- Risk Assessment: Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to product development, delivery, and market adoption. Ensure that the product roadmap is adaptable to changing market conditions and emerging technologies.
- Technology Trend Leadership: Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, market shifts, and competitive landscapes. Leverage this knowledge to inform product strategy and maintain market leadership.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Experience:
- 15 years of progressive experience in leading and managing engineering and product management functions in a global, technology-driven organization.
- Proven success in delivering complex, integrated solutions (software, hardware, and services) to enterprise customers.
- Deep technical expertise in product lifecycle management, from development through to post-market support.
- Experience in managing and leading large, geographically distributed teams, with a strong understanding of remote leadership dynamics.
- Extensive experience in managing P&L responsibilities and resource allocation for high-stakes, technical product initiatives.
- Strong background in collaborating with ODM/JDMs and multi-vendor environments, particularly within large-scale enterprise systems.
