Barista/Cafe Attendant
Role and Responsibilities
The barista/cafe attendant is responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. Educated customers on premium drink offerings. Fulfills any other duties assigned by the store manager, assistant manager or shift supervisor in a professional manner.
- Maintains highest quality, consistent product standards
- Follow all company drink recipes and procedures
- Develop an understanding of coffee and tea and the various different flavors and blends.
- Proficiently prepares all blended, hot and cold drinks provided by the cafe
- Greet customers with fast and friendly service
- Verbally receives and calls back customer orders in a friendly manner
- Report customer complaints to manager on duty
- Sells and serves baked goods and miscellaneous food items to customers
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Inform manager of low stock levels
- Personable and able to deal with customer queries and requests
- Refill and stock food, paper products, utensils, etc. for shift and following shift
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Regularly required to handle food and hot beverages
Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear
Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment
Strong communication and time management skills
Customer satisfaction oriented
Attention to detail
Be able to reach and bend frequently lift up to 30 lbs
High School Degree or equivalent
Ability to work flexible schedules
Must have clean driving record and reliable transportation
Barista experience not a requirement but a plus
