Childcare Coordinator
Develops, coordinates, supervises and manages the Okemos Public Schools (OPS) Early Childhood Center and Before and After-School Care Programs. Develops and maintain a caring environment to meet the needs of children, staff, and families. Ensures a balanced budget and assesses community needs.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Programs, Education, Administration or Related Field and/or Significant Experience in Related Area Required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in program design/planning of current early childhood issues and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in parent/community relations, staff development, and financial management of childcare programs.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Management and administration of OPS early childhood programs - GSRP, tuition-based childcare, and before/after-school programs.
- Develop and maintain a caring environment that meets the needs of children, staff, and families.
- Recruits, hires and evaluates all personnel in programs being managed.
- Plans and coordinates staff professional development.
- Assists and coordinates all employee licensing and program licensing for GSRP and childcare programs, Special Needs Camp and Early Childhood Center
- Develops and updates policies and procedures for all programs.
Reports to: Superintendent of Schools
Location: Edgewood Early Childhood Center
Salary: Starting salary will be negotiated in accordance with the candidate’s training and experience $55,000-$65,000
