The Director of Business Operations for the College of Arts & Sciences is a pivotal member of the senior leadership team, serving as the strategic advisor in all financial matters. The Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day financial, administrative, and operational functions within the college. This position is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the college’s business operations, supporting the College in achieving strategic goals, and maintaining a high level of fiscal accountability and compliance with institutional policies. This 12-month appointment is administratively responsible to the Dean and is in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
The Director of Business Operations provides oversight and leadership for the college’s accounting operations and team, financial reporting, and budget management, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and university statutes, regulations, policies and rules using prudent fiscal controls. Additionally, this position collaborates with the college research office to develop best financial practices regarding restricted funding, external awards, and other related items. This person must be readily available for in-person meetings and collaborations in Stillwater, OK.
