Summary/Objective
This is a production position making the # 1 Chimney liners in the country
Liner Specialists perform general duties in the Chimney Liner manufacturing shop with focus on safety, quality and efficiency. Duties may include making all liner types, boxing liners, moving liners, special customer requests and use of a forklift.
Essential Functions
- Able to and may perform the duties of Liner Associate: coil & box liners, use coil liner machine, help build pre-insulated (PI) liner inventory by applying insulation, build Liner kits
- Set up machines for and shape oval, square and rectangular liners
- Operate assigned machines to ensure correct dimensions of liners
- Make pre-insulated (PI) liners independently
- Ensure exact measurements while making liners
- Complete work orders to specific directions and handle special customer requests
- Knowledge of properties of different metals and their use
- Operate basic hand tools and powered hand tools, e.g., grinders, drills, etc.
- Ensure all safety guards are in place at all times of operation
- Handle raw materials - within the shop and outdoors as required
- Perform work safely and follow established work procedures
- Report equipment that requires servicing or repair
- Perform regular housekeeping duties
- May be forklift certified and use forklift
- Other duties as assigned

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Temperature is varied to the temperature outside due to open doors and garages.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items 50 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position during the first shift of the workday, normally Monday-Friday 8:30a-5:00p.

Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of a high school education or GED equivalent
- Experience as Liner Associate or 1 year machine operation and set-up experience
