Responsibilities
Summary:
Assist in the construction, maintenance, and operation activities involving the District¿s street light responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the Construction, and maintain the District¿s streetlight responsibilities
¿ Assist in the construction, maintenance and operation of all of the District¿s streetlight responsibilities in a manner that ensures a high level of customer service, system reliability and employee safety
¿ Responsible for performing assigned construction and maintenance activities in accordance with the District¿s construction standards.
¿ Complete work to restore streetlight outages, conduct inspections, repair/replace conductors and cables, repair structures dead-at-base, repair fixtures on-line or in the shop, maintain POL¿s, and locate faults.
¿ Must ensure that job-sites are maintained in an orderly fashion with a high regard for private property and public and public safety.
¿ Operate construction equipment including, reach trucks, pole trucks and other equipment, and hydraulic and pneumatic tools and various hand tools.
Qualifications
Required:
- Requires an Associate¿s Degree from an accredited utility line program, utility line certification/diploma or equivalent, or must have completed an accredited line apprenticeship program.
- Must have a Class A Commercial Driver¿s License
- Required to pass a pre-employment physical capability test.
- Must have good communications and customer service skills.
- Must live within a 35-mile radius of Center/Area Office
