Description
Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities:
- To organize, develop, and direct nursing administration and patient care.
- Develops and maintains nursing service objectives and standards of nursing practice.
- Develops and maintains nursing objectives and standards for the building.
- Develop, implement, and maintain nursing service policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Director of Nursing (DON) Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with two years experience in long term care management.
- Experience as a Director of Nursing required
- Working knowledge of MDS, care plans, Medicare, Medicaid, and PPS.
- Diploma from a school of nursing or a two-year degree or higher in nursing required.
- Must have at least 1 year experience in a supervisory/nursing role
