What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at On The Move Pediatric Therapy?
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)/Behavior Technician (BT) is responsible for the daily care and supervision of the client, from sign-in to sign-out. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing the treatment rooms, implementing programs and collecting data as designed by the LBA, preparing lunch, taking regular notes, and maintaining ongoing communication with the LBA. The RBT/BT position is a vital part of the ABA program at On the Move Pediatrics. The individual in this role should have a passion for and dedication to helping children and individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or challenging behaviors.
Education Requirements

· CPR/First Aid Certification
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Implement programs and collect data as designed by the Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA)
· Maintain regular communication with the Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) for each client to ensure treatment plans are followed and provide feedback to the LBA as needed
· Prepare treatment room/area for client sessions
· Maintain session notes throughout the day and ensure notes are closed by the end each day
· Complete incident report forms as needed and submit to Lead RBT
· Provide doctors note documentation to clients as needed
· Prepare and provide lunch for the client(s)
· Responsible for obtaining parent/guardian signatures at the time of clients sign-in and sign-out
· Attend designated training courses
· Attend required team and clinic meetings and Plan of Care meetings as needed
Job Requirements
· Experience or education in ABA, children’s education or psychology is preferred
· Valid Driver’s License
· Must pass background check
· Must maintain at least 37.5 billable hours per week with 15 minutes of preparation time provided at the start of the day and 15 minutes of clean up time provided at the end of the day (30 minutes per day total)
· Must maintain all required trainings and eligibility requirements such as CPR, TB assessments, drug tests and be legally able to work with children and persons with intellectual disabilities
· For RBT specifically – must maintain RBT certification and notify Supervisor if certification lapses and if it is reinstated
· Adhere to the most up-to-date BACB BCBA Professional and Ethical Compliance Code.
· Comfortable using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent tools
· Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
· Ability to manage time efficiently, meet deadlines, and handle various responsibilities concurrently
· Ability to pay close attention to details and ensure accuracy in documentation and task completion
· Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, clients, and providers both verbally and in writing
· Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Professional and helpful demeanor when interacting with clients and staff
· Self-motivated and capable of working effectively in both individual and team setting
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
· Ability to be able to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
· The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
· Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
· Ability to run and walk for a minimum of 3 minutes and escort a student for a minimum of 3 minutes is required
· This position must be able to respond quickly to active and aggressive children, adolescents, and young adults ages 2 to 21. Physical response may include evasion and/or performing approved escorts, holds, and restraints to maintain student and staff safety
· Sessions can be held indoors and outdoors, weather permitting.
· Noise levels in the building are usually moderate and can sometime be noisy
· There may be potential exposure to blood, urine, and feces; thereby, potentially at risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogens
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
