Onggi is an upscale casual Korean restaurant that will be located in the vibrant neighborhood of Dupont Circle in Washington, DC. Our 2,000-square-foot space will accommodate 60 seats, offering an intimate yet inviting dining experience. The restaurant is slated to open in February 2025.
Inspired by a desire to share the rich flavors and traditions of Korean cuisine, we aim to create a space where the local community and visitors from around the world can gather and enjoy authentic Korean dishes. We hope to offer an experience that captures the warmth and essence of traditional Korean food.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Server Assistant to join our team at Onggi. In this role, you’ll clear and reset tables, deliver food and beverages, and support the team in maintaining a seamless flow of service. Responsibilities will include:
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally to guests.
- Help with restocking supplies in the kitchen or bar..
- Assist servers and other team members to ensure smooth service operations.
- Support the team in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Qualifications:
- Food safety and sanitation certified, or willingness to obtain certification.
- At least 2 years of experience running food/bussing in an upscale or fine dining environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a standing position for a prolonged period and lift at least 50 pounds. - Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
