Position Summary
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the supply chain operations within the organization. This role involves monitoring and evaluating all spend activity across the company to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies for enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and maximizing overall performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement for use in improving supply chain efficiencies
- Develop and maintain supply chain performance metrics and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives
- Create accurate and timely reports for all levels of the organization
- Conduct demand and supply analysis to identify potential bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities
- Process Optimization
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and process gaps within the supply chain and propose solutions for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes, streamline workflows, and enhance overall operational efficiency
- Utilize lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to drive process optimization initiatives
- Project Management
- Develop metrics, reports, scorecards, and dashboards to support the procurement department
- Maintain master data for purchased materials
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, information systems, business administration, or related field; Experience may be substituted for education requirements
Experience
- 5 years of relevant experience required
- 2 years of experience providing data/analytical support
- Excellent computer skills with exceptional Excel skills, required
- Familiarity with building Power BI dashboards/reports and SQL/SSRS reports, preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, demand planning software, data visualization tools)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data analysis and reporting
