El colibri Hotel and Spa is looking for a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team!
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable experience during their stay. You'll handle check-ins, reservations, and guest inquiries while collaborating with various departments to meet our guests' needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests upon arrival, assist with check-in/check-out processes, and address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and changes using the property management system (PMS), ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating guest needs, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Serve as a liaison between guests and other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure guest requests are addressed promptly.
- Handle guest billing, payments, and transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services, and make recommendations as needed.
- Handle guest complaints with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain organized records of guest interactions, payments, and service requests; prepare daily reports as required.
- Ensure the safety and security of guests by following established procedures, including handling emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using computer systems, including property management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must speak fluent English; other languages are a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong attention to detail.
