Position Summary : The Director of Quality is a critical position in Pacon maintaining its competitive position and customer relationships. The person has full responsibility for the Pacon Quality System and manages the Quality Department (Inspectors, Analytical Lab, Process and Document Control). The person will be responsible for further developing the Pacon Quality System and Department as Pacon continues to grow and expand its services / products offered to the marketplace.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
- Quality System
o Assure compliance to the Quality System
o Manage changes to the Quality System as Pacon’s services and products evolve
o Manage the Quality Department including the following : Inspectors, Document Control, Lab and Quality Administration
o The Quality Director is the point person for all Quality issues / initiatives with our customers and suppliers
o Need to project a level of professionalism and confidence appropriate for a leading supplier into the Consumer Packaged Goods and Medical Device Industries
o Manage regular customer audits as well as agency audits
o Initiate and manage audits at key suppliers to ensure adherence to the quality standards of Pacon and its customers
o Become (or develop) the expert regarding Industrial Hygiene at Pacon
o Review and modify as appropriate the current policies which impact Industrial Hygiene
o Lead Reactive Initiatives (Customer Complaints, Internal Audit Findings) and Proactive Initiatives (identified improvement opportunities) throughout the company (Production, Warehouse, Office)
o Develop the right critical thinking within the department
o Manage the department to be supportive of the overall mission of Pacon, while enforcing the Quality System
o Develop and implement IQ’s, OQ’s, and PQ’s, leveraging Engineering and Operations Teams as needed
