We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer! In this position, you'll play a key part in designing and detailing innovative machinery for the food packaging and processing industry. Responsibilities:
- Design and detail machine components and systems.
- Create detailed drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and specifications.
- Input data into the ERP system accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Design Engineering.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks 2019 or higher.
- Experience with AutoCAD or DraftSight.
- Strong ability to create and detail machine drawings.
- Experience working with sheet metal, stainless steel, and fabrications is a plus.
- Ability to create part assemblies and detailed design plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with customers, vendors, engineers, and other team members.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and suggesting solutions.
