What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Assistant position at Peace River Center?
This position is responsible for assisting with multiple financial processes that include accounts payable, contingency processing and mileage reimbursement requests as well as providing back-up for the reception position.

- Handle multiple projects, set aside, then resume tasks to meet deadlines
- Maintain and validate medication inventory purchased / dispensed as part of the Indigent Drug Program.
Essential Duties/Requirements/Activities (cont.)
- Analyze and review invoices and check requests.
- Maintain tracking report for program contingencies.
- Enter invoices and check requests into financial software system.
- Create payment list for approval
- Print and distribute disbursement checks.
- Post activity to the General Ledger
- File all relevant paperwork
- Review and process mileage reimbursement requests
- Cover phones and front desk reception area as back-up for Finance Dept. Admin Assistant.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associates Degree or additional experience in lieu of degree
Experience:
1-3 years with a degree or 3-5 years in lieu of degree

Work Environment:
The work environment is fast-paced and consists of exposure to physical conditions typical of a normal office environment. The populations cared for will include patients who are confused, delusional, irrational, agitated, or uncooperative. Most of the job is performed while sitting, although the work may require occasional standing or walking and/or the lifting and carrying of small objects. A small amount of travel may be required for meetings etc. to another PRC location.
