- Negotiate pricing on inbound steel plate purchases or steel related purchases.
- Maintain and control plate inventory.
- Establish and maintain relationship with Steel Mills, Steel Service Centers and Brokers.
- Monitor scrap market pricing and other benchmark pricing for plate and flat roll products.
- Monitor market sell pricing for plate and sheet products.
- Approve all steel related invoices for accounts payable.
- Understand customer needs, specifications.
- Assists with sourcing, qualifying, and evaluating suppliers
- Analyzes quotes and reviews contracts, making appropriate supplier selections
- Negotiates standard and blanket contracts and payment terms and conditions
- Reviews performance indicators for cost reduction opportunities, compliance with corporate and customer performance standards
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
