Tool Maker

Pennsylvania Tool & Gage is looking for an experienced Tool Maker to join our team!

Title: Tool Maker in Meadville, PA.

Tool Maker Responsibilities:

· Perform necessary operations to manufacture items to meet customer blueprint specifications in a safe and efficient manner

· Perform appropriate inspections to ensure quality requirements are being met

· Follow company policies

· Perform required preventative maintenance checks (operators provide basic daily/weekly checks, maintenance performs more in-depth checks at other intervals)

· Participate/engage in continuous improvement efforts

· Work with Engineering and/or Management to implement innovative ideas to improve productivity, quality, and safety

· Keep work area clean and organized

Requirements:

· Minimum 5 years of toolmaking experience working with tool steels & carbide holding /- 0.0001 tolerance

· Experience in precision surface grinding /- 0.0001 tolerance, grinding angles & Radii, ID/OD grinding and polishing

· Experience with assembly (fitting) of fixtures, molds or dies

· Excellent math skills

· Working knowledge of geometric tolerancing

· Must have a good attendance, attitude, work ethic & must work well with others

· Experience with CNC programming, jig grinding or manual mill is helpful

· Experience with EDM (wire and sinker) is helpful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

• Tool & Die: 5 years (Required)
• grinding carbide: 5 years (Required)
• /- 0.0001" tolerance work: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Journeyman License (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Meadville, PA 16335: Relocate before starting work (Required)
