What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Care Technician position at PeopleShare?
Requirements :
- Experience in animal care or a closely related field.
- At least 6 months of experience volunteering or working in an animal shelter, rescue, pet store, zoo, wildlife rehabilitation center, or pet sitting for multiple clients.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, crouch, kneel repeatedly, and lift / carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Comfort with the possibility of participating in end-of-life care, including euthanasia when necessary.
Schedule : 8A-5P - scheduled Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Sunday, 40 hours per week. Hours may require additional flexibility, nights, holidays and weekends
