Role Description
Currently searching for two Front Desk Representatives for our Fort Lauderdale and Pembroke Pines locations.
The core purpose of this position is to provide outstanding customer service with a Can-do Attitude and Caring Heart, delivering a seamless and memorable experience with every interaction. The ability to build solid relationships with our customers [patients, referring physicians, referring physician office staff, and internal team members] is essential to our mission. Ensuring efficient and timely scheduling of patients; acquiring and recording all necessary relevant medical history; creating a pleasant experience for the patient while in our center, and by managing the timely delivery of results.
Major Responsibilities
The major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet patients and answer telephones promptly and caringly, forming a friendly, warm and helpful connection.
- Schedule incoming requisitions efficiently, anticipating and solving problems before they occur.
- Verify patients’ demographics and coordinate verification of patient insurance benefits.
- Promptly follow up with referring offices to obtain required medical records.
- Register and verify all patient information paying very close attention to all details.
- Check-in and check-out all patients.
- Maintain/Organize/scan patient charts.
- Promptly respond to and fulfill all PET/CT reports and image copy requests.
- Filing, copying and faxing.
- Operate within the parameters of the Corporate Compliance & HIPAA Compliance Programs.
- Other duties deemed to be appropriate and necessary by your direct supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Must successfully pass drug and AHCA Level 2 background screenings
- Must have flexibility to travel between all PIISF facilities and be willing to work at any one for extended periods at Management’s sole discretion
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- Can-do attitude with a willingness to work in a team environment
- Computer literacy, particularly with EMR programs and Microsoft Office programs
- Reliability
- Excellent organizational & time management skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology a plus
- Bilingual: Fluent in English & Spanish
