Kennel Technician

Full time position available at top notch, high quality pet boarding facility. Job Functions:

· Prepare food for and deliver food to 30 dogs and six cats

· Clean facility, including animal excrement from both dogs and cats, and deep cleaning responsibilities

· Be outside in all types of Florida weather to watch over dog play and keep all dogs safe

· Be comfortable with all sizes and temperaments of dogs, knowing you will never be asked to put your safety at risk

· Ability and willingness to step into front of house roles as needed, including answering phone calls, answering emails, checking dogs in and out, offering tours and interacting with clients

· Comfort working in a fast paced and sometimes hectic environment

· Ability to handle loud noises in a calm, effective way

· Taking photos of the dogs for pet parents and social media

· Monitoring dogs for injuries or illnesses and informing the proper people so the dogs can be cared for

Requirements:

· Proficiency in English, comfortable enough to answer phones and emails

· Authorization to work in the United States

· Physically able to be outside in all types of Florida weather

· No fear or hesitancy around dogs of all sizes

· Willingness to learn all kennel tasks and help where needed

· Be a team player who is able to be flexible as needed for the good of the dogs and facility

Preferences:

· Bilingual

· Professional animal care experience

· Open availability

· Knowledge of the computer program Gingr

Pay:

Pay will be $14/hour for those with no professional animal care experience and $15/hour for those with at least one year of professional animal care experience.

Schedule:

The following shifts are required. Please do not apply if you cannot or will not work these shifts on a weekly basis. You will be granted no more than six Saturdays off in a calendar year.

Friday 1pm-7pm

Saturday 9am-5pm

Proposed Schedule

Sunday: Off

Monday: Off

Tuesday: 7am-1pm

Wednesday: 7am-1pm

Thursday: 7am-1pm

Friday: 7am-7pm

Saturday: 9am-5pm

Total: 38 hours per week
