Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at a busy veterinary clinic. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Provide excellent pet care by feeding, bathing, and exercising animals as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennels and examination rooms.
- Prepare animals for surgery, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs.
- Handle laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic tests as directed by veterinary staff.
- Provide support at the front desk, including scheduling appointments and managing client inquiries.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry practices and post-operative care.
- Ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use after each procedure.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role within a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred.
- Familiarity with animal catheterization techniques and laboratory procedures is advantageous.
- Knowledge of pet care practices, animal husbandry, and kennel management is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.
