Job Summary:
Work as a member of a small team (3-4 people) to operate or assist in the operation of a steel slitting line.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be able to perform duties of different positions on the slitting line in an efficient manner
- Work well with others in your team to contribute to maximizing throughput.
- Be able to read work instructions, and receive verbal instructions from others
- Use a micrometer to take accurate gauge measurements
- Use a caliper to take accurate dimensional measurements within the required tolerances of each work order.
- Complete all tasks with safety as the highest priority.
- Maintain all aspects of product quality.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Work overtime when required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, typically within the hours of 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Occasional overtime work may be required as job duties demand.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A High School degree, GED, or related educational equivalent.
Preferred Knoweldge and Competencies:
- Self-motivated to contribute to the performance of the line
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting
- 1 year of slitting experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read a tape measure and use basic arithmetic
- General understanding and ability to complete basic functions on a computer
- Ability to interpret and communicate written and verbal instructions
