Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company, providing exceptional service to patients during their health assessments and diagnostic testing. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring patient comfort and confidence throughout the process. The PSR I adheres to established procedures, maintains confidentiality, and demonstrates professionalism while upholding company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately for both forensic and clinical specimen collection.
- Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following company protocols.
- Provide clear explanations to patients regarding procedures, ensuring a trusting and professional environment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
- Uphold confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Work under the direction of the area supervisor to complete daily responsibilities efficiently.
- Demonstrate strong leadership behaviors and process excellence skills.
- Promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy, including pediatric and geriatric patient care.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training preferred (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic training).
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in phlebotomy.
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Prior experience in customer service within a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboarding and data entry experience required.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $17.74 - $19.74 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
