Mortgage Loan Closer

Summary:

The mortgage loan closer will work with loan officers/clients to complete mortgage loan applications. This involves collecting employment and financial data, including an applicant's assets, current debts and monthly expenses. Mortgage loan processors must verify all data given to them by clients and prepare loan closing packages.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for prompt, professional communication to customers, loan officers & underwriters
• Collect supporting loan documentation as required and provides complete package to Mortgage Underwriter.
• Review loan application package for completeness and accuracy, reconcile application against system input.
• Utilizes various training materials, reference tools and other resources to provide accurate and up-to-date loan program/policy information to both external customers and internal business partners.
• Provides complete loan applications to underwriters as provided by the Mortgage Loan Officer.
• Coordinate with title companies and prepare loan closing packages.
• Ensures exceptional customer experience by overseeing loan process from origination to close.
• Ensures successful completion of all assigned Mortgage Loan Processor training.

Preferred Experience & Credentials:

• Minimum of 2 years mortgage loan experience.
• Must be self-directed, motivated, and comfortable working in an extremely fast paced environment.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, DU, LP, CRM, Encompass.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented and demonstrate excellent decision-making skills.

• Desire to have a long-term career in community banking.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
