About the Opportunity
The Assembly Process Engineer develops, evaluates and optimizes assembly processes, systems and procedures in close collaboration with assembly teams and by interfacing with the customer.
What You'll Do:
- Develops and modifies assembly processes to optimize throughput and yields.
- Troubleshoots and resolves assembly issues and equipment problems based on MRP reports and direct observation.
- Evaluates processes and equipment to ensure compliance to customer requirements and industry specifications.
- Develops and updates engineering documents such as ECRs, process maps, PFMEA, SOPs, Test Reports, and Travelers.
- Contributes to customer and third-party manufacturing and quality audits.
- Interacts with customers by responding to and managing change requests and SCAR submissions
- Performs root cause analysis of day-to-day issues, NCRs generated during in-process or final inspections and customer returns.
- Researches and recommends new production equipment, conducts qualification and implementation.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
- Detail oriented, organized, and effective problem-solver.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain high confidentiality standards and practices.
Education and Experience:
- Working knowledge in rigid, flex, and rigid flex printed circuit boards.
- Working knowledge of computer-aided design software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Basic knowledge working with statistical analysis software.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
Potential Shifts Available:
1st shift, Monday- Friday, 7:30 am- 4:00 pm
Job Type: Full-time
The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
