What are the responsibilities and job description for the Creative Project Manager position at Piping Rock?
Essence of the role (Role’s Purpose):The Project Manager will serve as a vital link within the Wholesale Department between the Creative team, Marketing team and brand managers – ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of creative assets and campaigns. This individual will oversee project planning, resource allocation, and workflow management while maintaining effective communication between stakeholders.The ideal candidate will bring a combination of organizational expertise, an eye for creative details, and a results-driven approach to project management, with a strong understanding of print production and related technical processes.
Recipe for Success (Responsibilities):1. Project Planning & Management:• Develop and manage detailed project timelines and deliverables for creative projects.• Maintain efficiency and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment, ensuring projects stay on track despite tight deadlines and shifting priorities. • Source and organize creative assets to support the team in initiating or advancing projects.
2. Collaboration & Communication:• Act as the primary liaison between the Creative Department, Wholesale team, and other stakeholders.• Facilitate regular meetings to align project goals, address challenges, and manage expectations.
3. Resource Coordination:• Assign resources, prioritize tasks, and manage workloads within the creative team.• Partner with department heads to ensure proper allocation of talent for specific projects.
4. Print Production Expertise:• Manage all aspects of print production, including vendor coordination, production scheduling, and quality control.• Check file preparation for print, ensuring proper setup for color profiles, bleeds, crop marks, and other prepress requirements.• Recommend appropriate paper stocks, substrates, and finishes based on project goals, balancing cost and quality.• Ensure accurate application of color processes (CMYK vs. PMS) to meet branding and production standards.
5. Quality Assurance:• Ensure all creative deliverables meet brand standards and align with the company’s vision.• Manage creative routing through proofing software to ensure timely approvals before finalizing projectsReview and route proofs to stakeholders, checking for errors in content, graphics, color, and overall quality, ensuring all elements meet brand and production standards before printing.
6. Process Improvement:• Develop and refine project management processes and workflows to improve team efficiency and productivity.• Implement tools and systems to track progress, gather feedback, and maintain transparency.

Ingredients Required (Qualifications):• Experience:o Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within a creative or marketing environment.o Background in wholesale, retail, or consumer goods industries is a plus.
• Skills:o Strong understanding of creative workflows, including design, content development, and production processes.o Proficiency in preparing files for print, including knowledge of color management, resolution, and imposition.o Familiarity with substrates, paper stocks, and finishing options, with the ability to recommend optimal materials for various projects.o Experience in proofing processes, with a sharp eye for detail to identify and address errors in content, graphics, and color.o Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to multitask.o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.o Proficiency in project management tools such as Monday.com.o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.o Strong interpersonal skills to effectively provide constructive feedback and foster collaboration with artists
• Education:o Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Role’s Physical Requirements: On site in Bohemia office 2 days a week, Tuesday & Wednesday.
