Position Overview:
The Platte County Highway Department has an opening for a full-time office clerk. Compensation is based on experience. All candidates must complete a Highway Dept. employment application to be considered. Applications are available in the Highway Dept. office at the Platte County Court House, 2610 14th St. Columbus, NE 68601 or by contacting the office (402) 563-4909. Applications must be received before 5:00 PM on January 31, 2025.
Preferred Talents:
- Strong accounting skills in payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Detail oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Quick Books and ASA Inventory software; highly preferred.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous general office experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
