Duties/Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of material handlers, providing guidance and training
- Coordinate daily activities and assign tasks
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and ensure accuracy
- Conduct regular stock checks
- Oversee the operation of material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to improve warehouse efficiency
- Promote a safe work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid certification for operating a standup forklift or successfully complete company provided training with the designated timeframe.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a material handling role with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods of time
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting
- Good problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
