We are looking for you to join our collaborative team as the Production Manager, responsible for managing both panel shop and switchgear production.
This is a full-time, on-site role in New Hyde Park, NY.
Production Manager Responsibilities
- Managing switchgear and control panel projects from start to finish.
- Communicating with customers the status of open projects.
- Ensuring all projects have the proper materials needed for completion.
- Managing the production team, including scheduling.
- Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep the organization accident-free.
- Ensuring each stage of the project happens on time, on budget and to a high standard.
- Leading various improvement initiatives stemming from Safety, Quality and Productivity data.
- Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.
- Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production.
- Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations.
- Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team.
- Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
- Overseeing several aspects of a project at the same time.
- Resolving any issues or delays.
- 5 years’ experience in panel manufacturing.
- Understanding of switchgear, motor control centers, panelboards, breakers, etc.
- Familiarity with major brands in the industry (Siemens, ABB, Eaton, Sq D).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proven record in training employees in safety and production.
- Strong working knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
- Ability to coach and motivate employees.
- Valid and Clean NYS Driver’s License to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work on elevated platforms.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching.
- You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery.
- Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, computer mouse, adding machine, and telephone.

Salary : $65,000 - $115,000
