JOB PURPOSE
- Perform first article, in-process and final inspections. Assist with product qualifications.
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on electromechanical aerospace parts and assemblies.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on electromechanical aerospace parts and assemblies.
- Use a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs, multimeters) to assess part dimensions, tolerances and functionality.
- Ensure all parts meet established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Document inspection results, generate reports, and communicate findings to engineering and production teams. Use various portals to upload inspection results.
- Collaborate with engineers and other quality assurance staff to identify and resolve issues.
- Perform first article, in-process and final inspections. Assist with product qualifications.
- Maintain thorough records of inspections, ensuring compliance with traceability and auditing requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing corrective actions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 20 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
Experience: 3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably within the aerospace industry.
