Position Overview


The Technical Sales Specialist – Rock Blasting will be responsible for procuring work for construction and mine blasting projects, with a primary emphasis on construction blasting. Additionally, this role includes selling the company’s industry-leading explosive engineering and consulting services.


This position combines technical knowledge with a proactive sales approach to expand Precision Blasting Services’ market share, build strong client relationships, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a technical understanding of rock blasting processes, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities


1. Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for construction and mine blasting projects, focusing on high-value construction blasting work.
  • Sell Precision Blasting Services’ explosive engineering and consulting solutions, demonstrating the unique value of the company’s expertise.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, mining companies, and other stakeholders to secure new business opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align client needs with operational capabilities.


2. Market Research and Strategy:

  • Conduct research to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop targeted sales strategies to penetrate key markets and grow the company’s footprint.
  • Provide insights and feedback to leadership to refine services and maintain a competitive edge.


3. Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on blasting solutions.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by coordinating with operations to deliver projects that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Secure repeat business and referrals through exceptional service and consistent engagement.


4. Technical Expertise:

  • Leverage a deep understanding of rock blasting processes to effectively communicate the company’s capabilities.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements, regulations, and best practices to provide clients with the most accurate and reliable information.
  • Support the development of technical marketing materials and client proposals.



Experience and Skills:

  • Proven sales experience in construction, mining, or related technical industries, preferably in blasting or explosives.
  • Strong understanding of rock blasting processes and their applications in construction and mining.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
